An unknown corner of Imathia stands out on the slopes of Vermio, offering a journey into tradition and the magic of nature. Just 10 minutes from the city of Naoussa, 15 minutes from the grove of Agios Nikolaos and very close to the 2 ski resorts 3-5 Pigadia and Seli. Arkohori with its narrow alleys, well-kept courtyards and hospitable residents offers an idyllic sergiani in the mountains of Vermio and the plain of Naoussa. Nestled between two verdant hills, at the eastern foothills of Vermio, hides an authentic mountain destination. Driving up the paved country road, the tiled roofs and stone facades of the houses jut out from the oak-clad hillsides. In winter the landscape is often dressed in white, composing a captivating scene.
Entering the village you will feel the majesty of nature all around you. A stone fountain, one of the many in the village, gushes cool water coming from the plateaus of Vermio, while the forest path that starts from here promises unique tours through the dense forests of beech, fir and pine. The walk along the main street reveals images of unique beauty. Bald plane trees, chestnuts, apple trees, figs and creepers circle the yards and houses, creating a colorful feast. Arriving at the central paved square you will find the two cafes of Arkochori to enjoy your coffee. In the village there are taverns with fresh local products, a shop with traditional goods, a refreshment center with a 5x5 court, a tennis and basketball court and of course hospitable residents who are always willing to introduce you to history, customs, celebrations and traditional local tastes. An ideal destination for nature lovers, young people, couples, families, groups, ski lovers and those who want to spend carefree and relaxing for a few days away from everyday life!
